This is my ruler and notepad tattoo. I believe that tattoos can be used for functionality as well as memory. I’m a designer, so I use the ruler for buttons, zippers, and trim widths. Usually the notepad has an address or to-do list on it. :)

You know what, this is actually fucking genius.

don’t ever assume someone likes you because 10/10 times they don’t

Such a nice afternoon I had to myself to run some errands! Woke up, drove madre to work, stopped by the San Gabriel hospital to pick up my volunteer app, went to the flower shop to order a grad bear bouquet thing for my baby cousin’s highschool graduation tonight ^___^ (he is so going to hate me :D not like he already doesn’t but at least i didn’t buy flowers..), went to the mall to get a money holder card thing at hallmark..i love that place, finally bought father’s day gift with a special “aww” discount..as long as i agreed not to tell the lady’s manager LOL, starbucks green tea lemonade *__* , tried the new honey whole grain pretzel at auntie anne’s.. way too salty for me :/ , spent about two hours walking around by myself, went back to the flower shop to pick up the bouquet, submitted my job app at the daycare center, and now that I am home, time to make myself a beautiful and delicious sandwich. So egggcited, I love graduations! Awesome possum!

Instead of saying “I don’t have time” try saying “it’s not a priority,” and see how that feels. Often, that’s a perfectly adequate explanation. I have time to iron my sheets, I just don’t want to. But other things are harder. Try it: “I’m not going to edit your résumé, sweetie, because it’s not a priority.” “I don’t go to the doctor because my health is not a priority.” If these phrases don’t sit well, that’s the point. Changing our language reminds us that time is a choice. If we don’t like how we’re spending an hour, we can choose differently. Fascinating Wall Street Journal Article on being busy
